Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service govern the use of the wzcontrol.app website and of the WZ Suite apps: WZ Control, WZ Audio, WZ Defender (beta), WZ Creator (beta) and WZ Meta (announced for November 5, 2026), as well as any version, update, manual, video or material published on this site (together, “the apps”). By downloading, installing or using any of the apps, or by using the site, you accept these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use them.

2. Who provides the apps

The apps and the site are a personal, non-profit project by Christian Calvo (“El Viejo Odioso”), based in Mexico (“the author”). Contact: christian.calvo@outlook.com.

3. Free use

The apps are free. The author grants you a personal, free, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to download, install and use the apps on your own computers, for your personal, non-commercial use (playing, streaming your matches and publishing the videos you make with them).

This permission is a license to use: it does not transfer ownership of the apps or their code to you. Everything not expressly allowed in these terms is reserved by the author.

4. What is not allowed without authorization

Unless the author authorizes it in writing, you may not:

• copy or replicate the apps, their interface, their design or their functionality to make another identical or similar app (only the copies needed to install them and back them up on your own computers are allowed);
• modify, alter or change the apps, their files, their installers or their updates, or distribute modified versions;
• decompile, disassemble or reverse-engineer the apps, except to the extent applicable law expressly allows it despite this prohibition;
• redistribute or republish the apps or their .zip files on other sites, stores, forums, servers or bundles (please share the link to wzcontrol.app instead, which always has the current, signed version);
• sell, rent, lend, sublicense or charge in any way for the apps, for installing them or for access to them;
• create derivative works based on the apps, their code, their manuals, their images or their videos;
• remove or change the authorship notices, the signature, the names or the logos;
• use the suite’s names or logos in a way that suggests the author sponsors or endorses something he hasn’t approved.

To request an authorization, write to the contact email explaining what you want to do.

5. Intellectual property

The apps, their code, interface, texts, manuals, images, videos and the content of this site, as well as the names and logos WZ Control, WZ Audio, WZ Defender, WZ Creator, WZ Meta, WZ Suite (Suite WZ) and El Viejo Odioso, belong to Christian Calvo. They are protected by copyright and industrial property laws.

The clips, videos, settings and stats you generate with the apps are yours. If you publish them, you are responsible for what they show (for example, other players’ names that appear on screen).

6. Third-party components and services

The apps use or download third-party programs and services, which are governed by their own licenses and terms (not by these) and belong to their authors. Among them:

• WZ Control: PresentMon (Intel), LibreHardwareMonitor, PawnIO and Microsoft .NET.
• WZ Audio: Equalizer APO and VB-CABLE (optional).
• WZ Defender: Windows components (screen capture, your card’s video encoder, text recognition).
• WZ Creator: FFmpeg (downloaded separately).
• All of them: the app window uses Microsoft Edge / Edge WebView; Windows components.
• Online services: Cloudflare (help assistant and party chat server), Google Gemini (optional AI in WZ Defender and WZ Creator, with your own key), Stripe (donations) and IONOS (site hosting).

By using those features you also accept those third parties’ terms. The author doesn’t control those programs or services and is not responsible for them.

7. Acceptable use

You agree to use the apps and the site lawfully and responsibly. In particular, you must not:

• use the apps to cheat or to break the terms of Call of Duty / Warzone or any other game;
• attack, overload or try to compromise the site, the help assistant, the party chat server or the update mechanisms;
• use the party chat to harass, threaten or bother other people, or to share illegal content;
• use the help assistant for anything other than questions about the apps, or send it personal data or sensitive information.

8. Anticheat and third-party games

The apps are not injected into the game and do not read its memory: they work with Windows events and components (such as PresentMon, Windows audio or screen capture, just like OBS) and with configuration files. Even so, no third-party program can guarantee anything about the anticheat: the rules and decisions of Activision or other publishers are outside the author’s control and may change at any time. You use the apps at your own discretion and risk; the author is not responsible for suspensions, bans or any other penalty in a game or platform.

9. Changes to your PC

Some apps (such as WZ Control and WZ Audio) can change Windows, video-driver, audio or game settings. Before applying changes they show you what they will do, ask you to accept a disclaimer and keep a history so you can go back. Even so, you are responsible for reviewing those changes and for keeping backups of your information; creating a Windows restore point before optimizing is recommended.

10. Updates and beta versions

Updates are published only on this site and are digitally signed by the author; the apps check that signature before installing and never update without your permission. WZ Defender and WZ Creator are in beta: they already work, but they may have bugs and change between versions. WZ Meta hasn’t been released yet and its features may change before launch. The author may change, improve or stop offering any app or feature at any time.

11. No warranty

The apps and the site are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including error-free operation, compatibility with your PC, results (more FPS, lower latency, better audio, etc.) or fitness for a particular purpose. The numbers the apps show are measurements or estimates and may vary.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages —including loss of data, matches, accounts, performance or time, or hardware failures— resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the apps, the site or third-party services. Since the apps are free, in no case will the author’s total liability exceed what you paid for them, that is, zero. Nothing here limits rights that the law does not allow you to waive.

13. No affiliation

The WZ Suite is an independent project and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Activision, Call of Duty, Microsoft, NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, Google, Cloudflare or Stripe. Call of Duty and Warzone are trademarks of Activision Publishing, Inc.; other trademarks belong to their respective owners and are mentioned only to describe compatibility.

14. Donations

Donations are 100 % voluntary and are processed by Stripe. They don’t buy anything and don’t unlock anything: every feature is for everyone. A donation creates no obligation of support, delivery dates or features. If you donated by mistake, write to the contact email and your case will be reviewed.

15. Termination

If you breach these terms, the permission to use the apps ends automatically and you must stop using and delete them. The sections on intellectual property, no warranty, limitation of liability and governing law remain in force afterwards.

16. Privacy

How the little data that leaves your PC is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy.

17. Changes to these terms

The author may update these terms. The current version will always be on this page with its date. If you keep using the apps after a change, you accept the new version.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States (Mexico). Any dispute will be resolved before the competent courts of Mexico, unless the law of your country of residence grants you rights that cannot be waived.
