How to install WZ Control for the first timeStep by step, from the download to the app running (video in Spanish)
First time

Installation in 5 steps

You only do this once. If you get stuck, the video above shows every click.

  1. DownloadPress Free download. The .zip file lands in your Downloads folder.
  2. UnblockRight-click the .zip → Properties → tick ☑ Unblock → OK. If the checkbox isn’t there, carry on.
  3. Extract to C:\Right-click → Extract All… → clear the path and type C:\ → Extract. You get C:\WZControl.
  4. Run Instalar.batDouble-click Instalar.bat. If “Windows protected your PC” appears: More info → Run anyway. Then Yes to the administrator prompt.
  5. Open WZ ControlUse the WZ Control shortcut on your Desktop and press Yes. The first time, a short tour shows you the basics.

Requirements

  • 64-bit Windows 10 or 11
  • Administrator rights (to measure FPS and apply tweaks)
  • NVIDIA or AMD graphics card
  • Internet the first time (the installer downloads what’s needed)

  • .NET 10 Desktop Runtime
  • PresentMon (Intel) to measure FPS
  • LibreHardwareMonitor and PawnIO to read sensors
  • WZ Control shortcuts

How to update

🔔 The app updates itself, with your permission. When a new version comes out, a green bar appears at the top: press Update now and WZ Control downloads it, checks that the author published it (digital signature), closes and reopens already updated. Your settings, captures and history are kept. You can also check manually in Help › Updates.
Have a version older than 1.21? Update manually this one time

Close WZ Control (right-click the icon next to the clock → Exit WZ Control). Download the new .zip and extract it to C:\ replacing the files (Explorer: “Replace the files in the destination”; WinRAR: “Extract and update files”; 7-Zip: “Overwrite without prompt”). Your data folder isn’t in the .zip, so it isn’t touched. From then on, the app lets you know by itself.
