WZ Support manual
WZ Support is the WZ suite's remote support app, in the style of AnyDesk or RustDesk, but free and made for the community: with an ID and a temporary key someone can see your screen, hear your PC's audio, help you with the mouse and keyboard (if you allow it) and talk to you on a voice call, all from the same window. It also works the other way around: for you to help someone.
Getting started
- Right-click the .zip → Properties → ☑ Unblock → OK.
- Right-click → Extract all… → type
C:\. You get the folderC:\WZSupport. - Double-click Instalar.bat: it creates the WZ Support shortcut on your Desktop and in the Start menu.
- Open WZ Support and accept the Windows prompt (administrator rights, like WZ Control: this way whoever helps you can also use administrator windows). A green icon appears next to the Windows clock.
- The first time you share your screen or use the call, Windows/Edge asks for permission: accept it.
The two ways to use it
| I want to… | Where | What I do |
|---|---|---|
| Get help | Connect → This PC | Tell the helper my ID and temporary key, and click Accept when asked |
| Give help | Connect → Connect to another PC | Type the ID and key the other person tells me and press Connect |
Getting support (This PC)
- Your ID (9 digits) is fixed: it identifies this PC. Copy it with 📋 Copy.
- Temporary key (6 letters and numbers): it changes by itself after every session and every time you open WZ
Support. 🔄 New key creates one at any time (the old one stops working).
- 📋 Copy ID and key copies both together to send them over WhatsApp or Discord.
- The status box says whether you're available (green) or there's no connection to the server.
- Available to get support: turn it off if you don't want requests. While WZ Support is open (even with the window
minimized) you can get support; if you close the window with the X, WZ Support stays in the tray but can't get requests until you open it again (double-click the icon).
When someone asks to connect
- The prompt “Someone wants to connect to your PC” appears with their name (and a sound). You have 60 seconds.
- Choose what you allow:
- Allow them to control with mouse and keyboard (uncheck it and they can only view).
- Share my PC's audio (what plays on your PC: game, music, videos).
- Talk on a voice call (uses your microphone).
- Press ✔ Accept. Windows asks what to share: choose Entire screen (or the screen you want if you have several) and turn on “Share system audio”. Then Share.
- If the key is wrong, the request is declined automatically (without showing you the name they typed) and you get a notice. Whoever gets it wrong 5 times in 15 minutes is locked out of your ID for 15 minutes (and after 20 wrong keys from anywhere your whole ID is locked for 15 minutes): nobody can guess it.
During the session (green bar at the top)
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| 🖱 Control: Yes / No | Gives or takes away mouse and keyboard control instantly |
| 🔊 My audio: Yes / No | Shares or mutes your PC's audio |
| 📞 Call | Turns your microphone on or off to talk with your helper |
| 💬 Chat | Text messages |
| 📁 File | Sends a file to the other PC (the other person accepts it first; it's saved in their Downloads folder) |
| 🖥 Change what I share | Pick the screen or window again without cutting the session |
| Screen | With several monitors, tells which one you shared (so the mouse lands in the right place) |
| ✕ End session | Cuts everything. The key changes automatically |
- At the top of your screen Windows/Edge shows “You are sharing your screen” with Stop sharing: it also ends the
session.
- If you share a window instead of the entire screen, they can only view (control needs the entire screen to
know where the mouse lands).
- UAC prompts (“Do you want to allow this app to make changes?”) and Ctrl+Alt+Del show on Windows' “secure
desktop”: no program can see or touch it. When it shows up, click it yourself.
Giving support (Connect to another PC)
- Ask the person to open WZ Support and tell you their ID and temporary key.
- Type them in Connect to another PC and press 🖥 Connect (Enter works too). Keep Control with mouse and keyboard checked if you're going to use them.
- Wait for the person to accept (you'll see the countdown). As soon as they share their screen you see it full size.
- PCs you connect to are kept in Recent connections: one click fills in the ID (the key is always asked again).
The viewer
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| 🖱 Control / View only | Turns your control on or pauses it (if the person allowed it) |
| 🔊 Audio + volume | Mutes or adjusts the remote PC's audio (only on your PC) |
| 📞 Call | Turns your microphone on or off |
| ⌨ Keys | Shortcuts your keyboard can't send: Task Manager, Start, Run, Alt+Tab, Alt+F4, Lock… |
| 📋 Clipboard | Pastes your clipboard on the other PC or brings theirs to yours (text only) |
| ✎ Type | Types a text as is on the other PC (long passwords, accents, ñ) |
| 📁 File | Sends files (you can also drag them onto the picture). The other person decides whether to accept them |
| 💬 Chat | Text messages |
| ⚙ Quality | Automatic, Sharpness (text and menus) or Smoothness (motion), and 15/30/60 frames per second |
| ⛶ | Full screen: it also captures Alt+Tab and the Windows key to send them to the other PC (hold Esc to exit) |
| ✕ End | Ends the session |
- At the top you see the connection quality: P2P (direct) or TURN (through a relay, when the network doesn't
allow a direct connection), the ping, fps, resolution and speed.
- The keyboard works by key position, as if you plugged your keyboard into the other PC: if both are in the same
layout, everything stays the same. For texts with unusual symbols use ✎ Type.
- Ctrl+Alt+Del can't be sent by software (a Windows rule): use ⌨ Keys → Task Manager.
Support call (Call tab)
A voice-only call, like WZ Audio's party chat, to talk before connecting or with several people (up to 8):
- 📞 Create call → share the 6-character code.
- The others type it in Join a call.
- Buttons: 🎙 mute your microphone, 🔊/🔇 stop hearing everyone, volume per person and, if you created the call, Remove someone. Leave call to finish.
- Inside a support session you don't need it: use the session's 📞 Call button.
- The call lives in the window: minimized it keeps working; if you close it, you leave the call.

How it works and your privacy
- Protocol: peer-to-peer WebRTC, the same standard browser video calls use. Picture, audio, voice, mouse,
keyboard, chat and files go directly between the two PCs, encrypted (DTLS-SRTP). No ports are opened on your router.
- A free suite server (Cloudflare) only introduces the two PCs: it receives your ID, your name, the key the helper
typed (so that your PC checks it) and the technical connection data. It doesn't see or store your screen or audio. For each ID it only stores a fingerprint so nobody else can use your ID.
- If the network doesn't allow a direct connection (some office, school or mobile networks), the connection goes
through a Cloudflare TURN relay, also encrypted.
- As in any direct call, the other PC can see your IP address.
- Stored on your PC:
data\identidad.json(your ID; don't share it),data\wzsupport.ini(settings),
data\recientes.json (recent connections), data\sesiones.jsonl (history) and data\wzsupport.log (log).
Common problems
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| “No connection to the server” | Check your internet. WZ Support retries by itself. If it persists, close and open the app |
| “That PC isn't available” | The other person has WZ Support closed, no internet, or “Available” turned off |
| “Wrong key” | Ask for the key shown now in their WZ Support (it changes after every session) |
| The remote PC's audio can't be heard | The person must turn on “Share system audio” when picking the screen (or with 🖥 Change what I share) and have 🔊 My audio: Yes |
| You hear yourself with echo | Your voice comes out of the other PC's speakers and returns in its audio: ask them to use headphones or mute 🔊 Audio while you talk |
| The mouse does nothing | Check that 🖱 Control: on shows on both sides and that the person shared an entire screen |
| It doesn't work in an administrator window | The person must open WZ Support accepting the Windows prompt (administrator) |
| It looks blurry | ⚙ Quality → Sharpness. On slow networks quality drops by itself to avoid freezing |
| It's slow or choppy | ⚙ Quality → Smoothness and 30 fps; if it says TURN, the network doesn't allow a direct connection |
| “This ID already belongs to another PC” | You copied the WZ Support folder from another PC: Settings → 🎲 Create a new ID |
Updates
Same as WZ Control: Help → Check for updates (or automatically, once a day). Update now downloads the new version, checks its digital signature, closes WZ Support, installs it cleanly (your ID and settings in data\ are kept) and opens it again. With a session or a call open it won't update: end them first.
